Camilla Von Ascherberg, running wild on her feet, is more beautiful than pearls.
Camilla Von Ascherberg, running wild behind me with laughing like a melody to my ears.
I don't think I have ever seen her laughing so freely. Her pink, flared dress waved in the air, her soft blondes bouncing on her shoulders, and her face shows nothing but eternal happiness.
Look at how beautiful she looks when out of her covers.
A warmest feeling filled my heart when I lowered down my running speed.
She reached me and held me from behind. Her hands surrounded me, and she laughed even harder.
She laughed like she couldn't control what she was feeling.
Her laugh is so natural and real.
She wrapped her hands around me from behind as her giggles crashed on my back. Her delicate, tiny hands barely fit around my torso, but she tried.
I can't feel any more happiness than this, can I?
.
"Oh my god, Caramel!" I turned back at her while she still kept giggling and fighting to take a sketchbook from my hand. Our laugh is uncontrollable and continuous and real and happy, and I don't know what else to call it. "You run so fast..."
"Give me the sketchbook, Niko!" She said, snatching the sketchbook.
I held the sketchbook up in the air, and she jumped. She jumped on her toes to snatch it from me. She was trying to get the sketchbook, but the happiness on her face was something else.
"Snatch it from me, Caramel. I'm not giving this to you so easily." I played around her, running and laughing as she followed me around with a big, wide smile.
"Niko!" She called my name as she grabbed my torso and hugged me hard.
"Look at you, Caramel. You're such a fierce lady." I pecked on her hair as Jeremy laughed from the spot he was standing on.
.
I threw the sketchbook on the grass, hugged her from behind, and picked her up before she could run away.
Tickles. Giggles. Struggles.
We were overflowing with happiness.
I swirled her in circles by picking her up, and she laughed even harder. Her dress waved in a circle when we took rounds and rounds and rounds on the lawn.
Jeremy also couldn't stop smiling when he saw Camilla laughing like she never had before. She looked so happy and alive.
No stress lines on her forehead, no pressure of manners, and no holding back of smiles.
This is Camilla Von Ascherberg.
True, Camilla Von Ascherberg.
.
"Dada!" Camilla saw Uncle Rhys walking out of the fort, and she ran towards him with the same happy feeling. She looks unreal. "Catch me!"
"Little Princess?" Uncle Rhys was surprised as she reached him.
.
She hugged Uncle Rhys so tight that he would melt like an ice now.
Aunt Bridget was surprised with happiness in her eyes when she saw Camilla and Rhys beam with euphoria.
Uncle Rhys also picked up Camilla by her waist, and he swayed her in the air.
I refused to believe that he also has laughs. But it looks like he does have it. He does laugh.
.
"My little princess." Uncle Rhys kissed Camilla's hair as soon as he put her on the grass.
Both of them are looking at each other with all the happiness in the world.
Uncle Rhys was this close to going and crying in Aunt Bridget's arms because his eyes say nothing but 'I love my little princess so fucking much.'
"I love you, Dada." Camilla pecked on Uncle Rhys's cheek, and he looked at Aunt Bridget with euphoria in his eyes.
"I love you too, my little doll. I love you more than anything in this world." Uncle Rhys hugged her hard, and Aunt Bridget joined them a second later.
This is what happiness looks like.
...........................................................................................................
After fort,
We came to this open restaurant on the mountaintop Aunt Bridget suggested.
She said she and Uncle Rhys used to sneak here at night after royal dinners to eat roasted potatoes. According to her, there's no better resort food than this in Eldorra.
Well, it was a small, private resort with no luxurious sitting, no expensive food, or no mannered staff. Rather, it was the resort you visited to make memories.
A view of Eldorra, trees all around, a wooden cottage, and a joint waterfall beside. The resort was sure like a hidden paradise, and I can totally agree that Aunt Bridget has found it because her bucket list resorts are always fun.
"Fuck, this is beautiful." I stand on the edge of the cottage balcony from where I can see a small waterfall and pond.
It was right under and connected to the cottage. It wasn't so deep or dangerous but looked like a waterpark slide.
"Isn't it?" Mom said to take pictures of the landscape. Dad holds her camera bag and purse and follows her everywhere she goes. "Only Bridget can find these kinds of places. Totally worth it!"
"Chrissy and Lia totally missed this!" Aunt Stella stood beside me and took photos on her phone to show to Lia and Uncle Christian.
Lia and Uncle Christian didn't come due to Lia's period cramps. She often feels sick when she gets her period.
"Sofi, come here. Watch this!" I called Sofia, who had entered the cottage and found a couch to sit on quietly. She isn't fond of traveling or visiting new places. "Fast!"
She looked annoyed but walked towards me. I hold her hand for safety and peck on her hair.
I hugged her from behind while keeping her on the edge. The cold winds and scent of forest brushed on our skin. I don't know why, but I like to make people feel the essence of life. It is not only the places that make experiences better, but it is also what we do or feel when we're there.
Our family has traveled to many expensive places, beautiful mountains, museums, operas, and countries, but Sofia never liked any as much as she likes her home and bed.
And I respect that, but she hates different places because she refuses to experience different things. She refuses to enjoy. She refuses to turn boredom into excitement.
According to my nature,
I can turn tragic opera music into American pop.
Because I believe that fun lies within and not lies within the places.
Being free and full of life doesn't cost you anything.
"Isn't it beautiful, Sofi?" I pecked on her hair again and swayed her in my arms. I know how much she hates being touched, but it's my love language. That's how I show my affection.
"Well, it is." She whispered with doubt. I was still holding her in my arms gently, and she is never going to let me hold again because,
"Do you think water is cold?" I asked, and her hands clenched on my arms. No matter what, she is my sister. She knows me!
"Don't you freaking dare, Niko! You know I hate water..." She warned and almost pushed me back, but here I go.
.
I jumped into the water while holding Sofia in my arms tight.
Yes, we jumped straight from the balcony into the pond under it.
Sofia screamed as we fell down into cold water. An electric, alive, and refreshing feeling filled my heart when I pulled Sofia closer by swimming upward.
Fuck, this was amazing!
.
"Niko!" Sofia shouted and slapped my chest hard when we swam upward. Our heads came up from the water, hair covered our foreheads, and water ran through our noses and mouths. "I'm going to kill you!"
"It was amazing! Let's do it one more time!" I swim towards her when she curses under her breath and swims out of the pond. As I said, she's never going to let me hug her from behind now.
"Dad!" Sofia shouts so hard when Dad runs down by the road that leads to the pond. "Look what Niko did to me!" She backbit about me to Dad.
"Niko?!" Dad only and only scolds me if it is anything related to Sofia and her safety. "How many times do I have to tell you? Don't add Moonlight into your devil tricks!"
"Sorry. I wanted her to have fun." I also swim out of the pond, still laughing and teasing Sofia.
"It was suicide!" Sofia shouted as the anger sat on her tiny nose, and Dad quickly covered her with his own jacket when she made it out of the pond.
"Oh, come on, Sofi. The balcony isn't even that high!" I ran upstairs to the balcony because I wanted to jump again. And I bet I can convince Aunt Bridget, Aunt Jules, and Uncle Josh to join me.
And Uncle Rhys would jump into the waters anyway after Aunt Bridget. I don't even need to convince him.
.
When I reached the balcony, Aunt Jules and Aunt Bridget were already looking at the waters with excitement.
"Ladies... Who wants to join me for a ride?" I smirked while tossing off my drenched sweatshirt on the floor. "Have the privilege of jumping with me."
"Why not?" Aunt Bridget and Aunt Jules also tossed their dresses off and dashed towards the edge of the balcony.
"Stel, come on! Join us!" Aunt Bridget called Aunt Stella, and she was also ready to jump into the waters. I picked up Aunt Jules on my back when we all held each other's hands together.
"Let's jump!" We shout, and here we all go into the waters. Our shouts made Uncle Rhys and Uncle Josh come running, and they looked down at us from the balcony.
"Rhys! Jump!" Aunt Bridget laughed as she splashed her hands on the cold water. Well, her sentence is Uncle Rhys's command. He didn't think twice or even once and jumped into the water.
"What are you waiting for, Joshy? Grand entry?" Aunt Jules shouts while I swim around the pond with her on my back. "Jump!"
Uncle Josh dived in with flexing his rolling jump in the air. He will never stop taking everyone's attention on him. I am so him!
"This is crazy!" Aunts laughed and splashed water on each other. Uncle Rhys was busy protecting Aunt Bridget from danger, and Uncle Josh was flexing his fine abs for no reason.
"Alex. I want to jump too." Mom looked down at the water, but she is kind of afraid of water. Even though Dad has vanished, she still hesitates.
"You do?" Dad quickly tossed his tee. "Come hop on my back." He made Mom sit on his back and looked for the depth and held her tight before jumping.
Both of them jumped into the water, and Mom laughed so hard once the water drenched her. Her sunshiny smile put a spell on Dad.
.
I looked up at the balcony and found Camilla looking down at us.
Here she is!
I didn't waste my time and just swam out and ran upstairs to her. She was surprised looking at me, but her eyes filled with excitement.
"Let's jump!" I said when I reached her. She quickly stepped backward by holding onto pink flare. "Don't be afraid, Caramel. I'll be holding you." I wrapped my hand around her stomach and held her hand with another.
"I..." She hesitated again, but I'm not listening to her excuses. Her eyes say clearly that she wants to have fun.
"Don't close your eyes and count with me." I moved us to the edge, my hands holding her tight. Everyone looked at us from the stands and cheered for Camilla. "One. Two..." Before we say three,
We jumped. We jumped into the waters. A deep and cold dive that felt softer than lying in the bathtub. I pulled Camilla near me by holding her hand, and she held my neck as soon as our heads came out of the water.
"Dear God!" She gasped as her hair covered her face. A wide smile lingers on her beautiful, pale face. Her hands surrounded my shoulders when she tried to swim. I hold onto her waist and was this close to kissing her.
But I can't.
Everyone is here.
"How was it?" I asked as she couldn't stop smiling and splashing in the water.
"Enchanted!" She said loudly, still holding onto my shoulder. Her body was touching my torso, our faces an inch apart. "Oh my. Shall we do it again?" She asked as I giggled positively.
"Careful with my little princess, Niko!" Uncle Rhys said we both run out of the pond by holding hands. "If anything hurts her, I'll drown you right here!"
"Noted!" I said and ran upstairs with Camilla.
They still see us as friends, but are we still friends?
"Wait, my dress." She struggled with her wet dress when we were climbing upstairs. She held the flare, but it became heavy with water.
"Take it off." I said. I said, and her eyes looked all surprised. "Aren't you wearing inner clothes?" My tone is casual.
"I am." She said and looked at her drenched dress. "But I can't... I'm not supposed to... I mean... I am a princess..." Another hesitation.
"Your mother is a freaking queen of Eldorra. Look at her. She's so free of rules and ties. She's in her bikini, swimming in a random pond where anyone can see her, but she doesn't care." I said. And I mean it.
.
Aunt Bridget is a queen but has never forgotten her own self. As much as she is responsible as a queen, she also is what she wants to be. Just because she is a queen doesn't mean she has no right to do other things she likes to do.
She believes she can do anything, wear anything, and go anywhere in the world as a person. Being queen is a responsibility, but being herself is a need. Without your own self, you turn into a walking dead.
"Plus, if you're shy of your body... Don't be." I affirmed. "You got a killer body; I was a victim myself!" Camilla smiled at my sentence and nodded positively.
She tossed off her pink dress, and I helped her slide it up from her head. Her pink innerwear looks so stunning on her pale body. Wet hair and skin, cheeks turning red, and smooth skin.
Plus, I've given hickeys on her neck and collar bones. Those look even better with just a bikini.
.
I don't mind my girl wearing anything she likes. I can protect her myself. She doesn't need to think about people or other men because that's my job to take care of.
Is Camilla mine?
"Come on, hop up!" I bent down on my knees and told her to hop up on my back. "I'm going to jump down with you on my back."
"Are you sure?" She hesitated at first but climbed up on my back anyway. I hold her by the legs when her hands are around my neck. Her soft cheek touched mine as her warm breathing brushed on my nose.
"Caramel? Aren't we crazy together?" I whispered while walking towards the balcony edge. Her hands tighten around my skin when I feel her nodding on my back. "What do you think? Do we make a good couple?" I crooked my brow while pecking on her hand.
"We do." She said after a few seconds. "We do make a good couple."
.
Just friends?
Fucking not.
